Torrance Richardson, A.A.E.
AAAE Past Chair

President & CEO, Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority

Tory Richardson, A.A.E., is the President & Chief Executive Officer for the Gerald R. Ford International Airport. He is responsible for leading a team of approximately 110 employees that plan, organize, direct and control all functions and activities of the Gerald R. Ford International Airport – the second busiest airport in Michigan.

Tory joined the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority in September 2019, bringing with him more than two decades of aviation experience. He served as the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority for the past seven years.

Prior to his time in Columbus, Tory served as the Executive Director of Airports for the Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority in Indiana for more than eight years. He also had roles as Executive Director of Rapid City Regional Airport in Rapid City, South Dakota, and was an Airport Operations Officer at the Dubuque Regional Airport in Iowa.

Tory is the First Past Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). He has served on the AAAE policy review committee and is a past president of the Great Lakes Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives.

He has also held leadership positions with the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), and is also the past president of the Ohio Aviation Association. Tory earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from the University of Dubuque.

Shawn Dobberstein, A.A.E.
Great Lakes Chapter President

Executive Director, Hector International Airport

Shawn is an accredited airport executive with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE). He is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Animal Science, a minor in Agricultural Economics and a Masters in Business Administration.  Shawn began his airport administration career in 1991 as the Assistant to the Executive Director at Fargo’s Hector International Airport. Shawn was hired as the Executive Director in January 1997. He continues to be active in the airport industry by serving on a number of committees at the state and federal levels. He is active within the airport industry serving on a number of committees that support airports across the country. He is currently the President of the Great Lakes Chapter of AAAE.

Kelly Campbell, A.A.E.
AAAE Chair

Executive Director of Aviation, Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport

Kelly Campbell is the Executive Director of Aviation at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport (LBB).

Kelly graduated from Texas Tech University in 1997 and began employment with LBB in March of 2001 as the airport accountant.  In September 2003, she was promoted to Deputy Director and in April 2014 became Executive Director.

Kelly is active with both the national organization the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the South Central Chapter (SCC) of AAAE.  Kelly currently serves as Chair of AAAE. Kelly also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Commercial Airports Association.

Todd Hauptli 
President & CEO, American Association of Airport Executives

Todd Hauptli is President and CEO of AAAE. He is the third CEO in the Association’s history.

Todd joined AAAE in 1991 and prior to becoming CEO was responsible for overseeing AAAE’s interactions with Congress and the Executive Branch agencies.

Before joining AAAE, Todd served as a Congressional Relations Officer handling aviation issues at the Department of Transportation.

Prior to his service at the Department of Transportation, Todd served on the White House staff of President Ronald Reagan as Associate Director of Cabinet Affairs. He also worked at the Department of Commerce, first in the Congressional Affairs office, then directly for the Secretary of Commerce.

He began his career on Capitol Hill working on the staff of the House Republican Research Committee. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Todd is married with three sons. He and his family reside in McLean, Virginia.
